Job Title: Python Dev lead

Location: West Des Moines, Iowa

Duration of assignment : 12 months

Relevant Experience : 10+ years

Technical/Functional Skills

•Strong Python Development experience and team lead skill set

•Strong hand on experience in Python 3.x in ETL space

•Hands on OOPs development experience and ability to develop frameworks I Python.

•Experience in integration design, development and deployment.

•Experience with databases, PostgreSQL preferred; Teradata, Oracle, DB2 are also acceptable.

•Strong knowledge of large-scale internal software applications or related technologies.

•Proficient in Project Management and SDLC processes.

•Strong sense of teamwork and ability to both lead and execute programs.

•Experience with Agile project is preferred.

•Should have good data analytical skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Designs, codes and tests all sizes of application solutions using object-oriented development, with a current focus on Python.

• Provides accurate estimates for solutions; required to be an expert in one application or have breadth across multiple applications.

• Resolves complex software issues across multiple software applications.

• Solve performance issues by performing query optimization etc.

• Independently documents own code and produces technical design documentation.

• Mentors less experienced team members on application design and development.

• Coordination with Offshore on technical delivery

Generic Managerial Skills

Sound communication and able to handle Sr. project stakeholders

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Analysis or equivalent work experience.
