Spiritual Care Coordinator (Full-Time)

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates functions essential to the operations of University Hospital Spiritual Care department. Serves as an assistant to and collaborates with the Director, Center for Caring, to facilitate spiritual and emotional care to culturally diverse patients, families, and staff. Promotes University Health's Customer Relations Policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Masters degree in divinity, social work, psychology or counseling is desired. Board certified chaplaincy accredited by the Association of Professional Chaplains or Equivalent is desired. At least 4 units of clinical pastoral education is required. At least three years of previous experience in a leadership role involving a religious/spiritual setting and at least 3 years in a healthcare facility is required Must be culturally aware of the beliefs and values of ethnic groups that present to University Health System and be able to provide spiritual and emotional care to patients, families, and staff with respect of individual diversity in religious affiliation and/or spiritual beliefs. Be interfaith aware. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Chaplain certification is desired.
