Position Summary:
Working from their home, the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Supervisor will have accountability and responsibility for the effective operation of the LiveSpeech program. This position will work with Pearson Virtual School management and educational leaders within the various states online schools to establish and maintain the various requirements, ensuring outstanding academic and business outcomes. The SLP Supervisor role includes direct supervision of a small team of 4-8* SLPs and direct clinical services to a reduced caseload of students. By reducing the focus of working directly with students and increasing the focus on team development, supervisory skills, and enhanced support of departmental initiatives and projects, the SLP Supervisors begin to participate more fully in aspects of LiveSpeech program implementation outside of teletherapy. This allows them to engage more with the leadership team and cultivate a deeper commitment to our clients from a management perspective. Depending on the school and team assignment, the level of responsibility for projects and initiatives, the size of the team of direct reports, and the size of the clinical caseload may vary among SLP Supervisors. This is a full-time, 10-month role.

- Be an expert on assigned school and state specific policies and procedures for implementing LiveSpeech services
- Maintain a positive working relationship between the LiveSpeech team, and the schools and programs we serve
- Document instances of noncompliance with staff expectations and provide necessary support and follow up through coaching and mentoring, consulting with HR as needed
- Conduct regular touch base meetings with direct reports sharing constructive feedback, following observation cycles and using resources provided to the leadership team
- Maintain a high level of communication with SLPs to deliver program information and address individual student needs
- Collaborate within and across pods as needed, including maintaining effective relationships with the Speech Lead, other Career Ladder staff and Speech Managers
- SLP Supervisors may support or lead at least one project area. These duties may include coordinating Lessons Learned schedules, digital resource oversight, supporting the efficacy project, or other department tasks/projects that arise, in coordination with the needs of the pods and school teams
- Ensure that SLPs exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, clinical support, and customer service
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with CSSD colleagues and school special education staff to ensure full implementation of program policies and procedures by direct reports
