Job Description
Influences successful business outcomes to achieve key business objectives. Provides business, contractual and risk mitigation strategy guidance. Analyzes new laws, regulations, and contract trends for potential impact on business goals and objectives. Protects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions. Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), FAR Supplements (e.g., DFARS) and other agency regulations. Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and procedures. Manages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process and overall contract administration. Establishes and maintains primary contractual interface with the customer. Maximizes case through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectives.


Essential Functions


Responsible for cradle to grave Contract Administration functions for RENK America Programs, to include both pre- and post-award proposal and contract administration tasks for firm-fixed and cost-type contracts to include proposal generation, price/schedule/terms & conditions negotiations, and contract flow-down requirements. Other responsibilities will include:


  • Provide audit and fact-finding support for major proposals.
  • Ensure Government reporting metrics are maintained for on-time submittals.
  • Manage contractual issues relative to high-dollar, complex Programs.
  • Coordinate with numerous functional departments as needed to meet all deadlines.
  • Negotiate non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, and other miscellaneous agreements.
  • Organize and communicate contractual documentation real-time, complying with Company procedures and processes.
  • Provide contractual guidance to program personnel and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Interpret contract requirements.
  • Lead negotiations of major proposals.


Pay range/level for this position will be commensurate with experience.


$65,000 - $78,000


  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts required.
  • Familiarity with Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) regulations preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively interface with the Department of Defense (DoD) and other customer organizations.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously highly desirable.
  • Government Contract Negotiation experience required.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively interface at all levels of company management.
  • Travel to various locations, estimated at less than 10%.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience or 2 years post secondary/associates degree and a minumum of 8 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minumum of 2 years prior related experience.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS).
  • Ability to work independently and at times work additional hours to meet deadlines.
  • Requires strong organizational and communications skills.
  • Must be able to move freely, with or without accommodation, throughout the manufacturing environment.
