Workplace: Onsite in Portland OR area.
Schedule: Monday - Friday business hours
Pay rate: $29-36/hour.
Overview
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the sourcing, price negotiation, and inbound supply of strategic items.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to SOPs and recommends improvements.
- Obtains and assesses quotes, presenting details of cost breakdown and course of action to the Supply Chain Manager
- Complies with internal food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Works closely with all parties involved to resolve quality, delivery, and supply issues.
- Maintains vendor relationships.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Managers.
- Continuously reviews the supply chain to ensure an adequate and diverse supply of ingredients.
- Ensures that all paperwork associated with inbound orders is correct and accurate.
- Coordinates the timely receipt of raw materials to meet material requirements.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and PowerBI applications
- 2 or more years of experience in buying or procurement.
- Experience in using ERP systems in supply chain or manufacturing settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
