Job Description

Software Tester - Part-Time

Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position:
  • Collects test metrics and perform test metrics analysis
  • Creates User Acceptance Test (UAT) Plans and test cases
  • Creates defect reports and proper status updates
  • Interprets requirements and writes quality control documentation (e.g. Test cases, Test Reports)
  • Conducts thorough system, functional, regression, smoke, interface and Section 508 testing to ensure minimal production defect leakage
  • Identifies and reports risks in the areas of responsibility
  • Produces high quality documentation
  • Creates and maintains traceability matrices between test cases and requirements
  • Verifies accuracy of product, including mathematical calculations

Position Requirements:
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with software documentation, user guides, user manuals and technical documentation
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Experience with writing SQL statement and relational database concepts
  • Must have H1B Visa
  • Experience in JIRA, Zephyr, Selenium, SpecFlow
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems or other related scientific or technical discipline

Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of 508 Compliance testing
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Expertise in using mathematical tools for verification and validation of numeric calculations
