You will be part of a team that will be helping accelerate software test strategies and implementations for Oteemo’s clients. You will be working with E2E testing tools such as Python, Selenium Grid, and Faker to test the applications. Enabling teams with tools and practices to author and maintain E2E tests will be your core responsibility. Setting up testing frameworks, assisting in troubleshooting existing problems related to software testing and analysis, mentoring other team members of the client organization on best practices will be part of your responsibilities. You will design, engineer, maintain, and execute testing solutions as the owner of one or more technology areas.

We are looking for someone who vocalizes risk areas during the product development cycle. Equally important is a strong aptitude for learning new technologies with a good instinct for discovering defects in a complex software ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts
• Execute test cases under varying circumstances and document and evaluate test results
• Track defects and helps troubleshoot errors
• Detect, log, and report program bugs and glitches
• Review test procedures and develops test scripts

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional test engineering teams to ensure adequate test coverage of complex features
• Expertise in testing microservices and RESTful APIs
• Proven experience with Git and branching processes
• Fluency in one or more scripting languages: (e.g., Python/JavaScript/Ruby/etc.)
• Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance
• Shown problem solving and debugging skills: analyze and investigate test failures, errors, and build issues, able to properly drive issues to completion
• Professional experience as a Software Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer
• Fluency in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Swift/Obj-C/Java/C++/Go/etc.)
• Knowledge and experience managing applications on AWS and some knowledge in other Clouds (e.g., Azure, GCP, etc).
• Proficiency with databases (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon RDS, MongoDB, etc.)
• Experience providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments
