You will be part of a larger group called Cross Enterprise Services (CES) which is focused on delivering consistent, enterprise quality and highly performant shared services for all of Schwab’s systems as building blocks for outstanding end-user experiences. CES offers a wide range of technology opportunities for great people to grow and demonstrate their skills.

What you are good at

• Ensuring that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
• Leading the tracking, prioritization, and communication of defects
• Holding and facilitating automation and test case reviews with Agile team members
• Updating management on QA-related status on projects and overall QA strategy rollout
• Developing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated test suites and reporting test results
• Providing technical support and maintenance of existing systems
• Implementing test practices, standards, and processes
• Establishing QA strategy and best practices to support continuous development and integration
• Estimating, coordinating, directing testing for multiple products/projects
• Identifying appropriate testing tools
• Gaining in-depth business knowledge to understand business needs and utilize the knowledge to identify testing priorities based on scenario risk levels
• Establishing fact-based measures of test efficiency, effectiveness, and product readiness

What you have

• Experience working in CI/CD environment
• Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum processes in planning, implementation and support of business application components and services, including change & release management
• Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
• Strong communicator with ability to interact with business partners and technology teams
• Experience with SQL database like Oracle/Teradata.
• 5+ years of hands-on application programming and/or test automation/framework experience in an Agile development environment
• 5+ years of experience testing applications (test case creation and execution)
• Experience with Splunk or other logging framework.
• Experience developing or influencing the development of automated framework(s) for enterprise level functional and regression testing is preferable
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment where multiple objectives must be managed concurrently
• Experience with a no-sql database preferred
• Experience with testing web services, APIs, using tools like postman and backend infrastructure such as messaging systems
• .Net, C#, or Java experience preferred
• Client focused mindset- exceed the expectations of customers.
• Financial Services experience is a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related degree
• Experience with test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in C# with frameworks like BDD with SpecFlow/ JUnit/TestNG/NUnit, Selenium, Jmeter etc.
