You’ll work on our MarianaTek product. MarianaTek is a studio management software built by real players in the fitness industry. We take all the complexities of running a studio and make it easy to use, brandcentric, and fitness focused.
The Software Development Manager is responsible for leading a group of software engineers consisting of both front end and back end focused developers. You will own a component in the Mariana Tek platform and be responsible for daily execution as well as delivering strategic product and technical initiatives to grow our business.
In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring a sound SDLC is executed upon and help steer the technology stack and engineering processes to be as efficient as possible. You will be accountable to growing the engineers on your team in terms of their career path.
This individual will partner closely with product leadership and be a key driver in the planning,
evolution, and implementation of Mariana Tek’s architecture, and technology stack. This position partners with internal and external team of Software Engineers at various levels and is responsible for the portions of the technical roadmap to support the evolving business needs. The associate will carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable law.
We are seeking a hands-on engineering manager familiar with modern software development process. The individual will have experience in stewarding the Agile process for engineers in their group. The manager will lead by example with the expectation that 70% of their time is attributed to team management and 30% devoted towards software development.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud technologies to deliver a hosted application and services with dedication to achieving a scalable and performant solution.
- Experience setting and driving towards a technical vision for their area. Building a coalition to accomplish their goal is a natural skill for the individual.
- Previous experience curating the career of software engineers by building opportunity for growth into their management process while also delivering on the team objectives.
- 2-5 years prior experience managing engineers in a fast-paced environment with 2-5 years previous experience as a individual contributor in either a full stack or back-end leaning role.
- Exposure to both frontend and backend technologies.
- Experience with more than one of the following: Javascript, Python, Java, Golang.

The average base salary pay range for this role is $104,000-$160,000
May be considered for a discretionary bonus
