Job Description
TITLE: QA Software Engineer I


Eligibility

Principal Duties And Responsibilities


The purpose of the QA Software Engineer I at Rev.io is to contribute to our feature development through quality assurance practices. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, exposure to relevant QA technologies and tools, and an understanding of testing methodologies, both manual and automated. The candidate must show enthusiasm for continuous growth and learning, aligning with Rev.io's Mission & Values.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborating directly with the immediate team and mentors to understand and implement effective testing strategies.
  • Understanding the product they work on and how it fits into the vision of the company.
  • Participating in planning sessions for their team, contributing to the testing plans and timelines.
  • Communicating well with teammates, peers, and managers, asking for help when needed.
  • Actively learning and applying new testing techniques, focusing on both manual and automated methodologies.
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues.


Desired Skills & Experience


  • ISTQB Testing Foundation Level certification a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
  • Experience in testing APIs, RESTful/JSON web services.
  • Ability to work closely with other team members and mentors.
  • Eagerness to learn and pick up new testing methodologies and technologies quickly.
  • Exposure to relevant QA technologies and tools, including experience with Bitbar for mobile testing.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) and experience working in a Scrum team.
