We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who wants to take part in growing and shaping our firm while taking ownership over designing, building, and implementing innovative solutions for our clients.

At Valent Partners you will lead small agile teams of 2 to 8 people to design, execute, and deliver solutions on client facing projects ranging from advisory services to digital transformation, to technology and data solutions. On a typical day, you might expect to:

• As a leader you will be expected to support and mentor junior team members in their professional and personal growth.
• Collaborate with other Valent leaders in leading the operations of our business and contribute directly to the growth of Valent as a destination place to build one’s career.
• Lead invention and solutioning to address a unique client challenge, lead complex multi-threaded programs, streamline client business processes, develop go-to-market strategies, or lead change management initiatives.

LOCATION:

At Valent Partners we employ a hybrid in-office/work-from-home model. Our office is in the Lakewood area of Dallas, TX within walking distance of a multitude of restaurants and other gathering places.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have experience with modern software development technologies and environments, including object-oriented development, relational database concepts, modern development experience (e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, etc.), cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCF). Functional programming experience is a plus as well as experience working with modern DevOps toolsets (e.g., Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, etc.).

• Minimum of 5 years of applicable work experience and 1+ years of project leadership experience.
• Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and ability to learn quickly
• Experience with modern software development technologies and environments such as: Cloud computing, ML, AI, Progressive Web Apps Experience with C#, ASP.NET, React, React Native Azure DevOps, Azure, AWS, SQL Server
• Legally authorized to work permanently for any company in the United States without sponsorship
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
• Azure Solution Architect or AWS Solution Architect Associate certification (preferred not required)
• Previous consulting experience required
• Experience engaging cross functional teams
