Summary: As a Software Engineer you will be part of a team that manages the software lifecycle of one or more of our products. You will collaborate with your team, work with Product Management, and use your software development skills to enhance and improve our products. As a Software Engineer, you will troubleshoot problems and develop fixes. You will ensure that we adhere to best practices in writing secure and reliable code. You will assist and support the work of other team members. Most importantly, you believe in the mission of Navigate360 and take personal pride in the work that you do and that we do collectively.
This is a fit for you if:
- You have two to five years of experience as a front-end developer and have expert knowledge with any of these languages/frameworks: HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React, CSS, LESS, SASS,or similar languages.

- You are proficient in UI/UX design tools and can determine technical feasibility of designs.

You have direct experience working in an Agile environment.
- You have worked in teams that used code review as part of the development process.
- You have experience working with APIs and connecting different platforms through API protocols such as REST and SOAP.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Accurately record your effort in assigned systems
- Participate in code reviews & iterations.
- Actively participate as an integral member of a scrum team.
- Serve as a subject matter expect for assigned products.
- Write clean, readable, well designed, maintainable code & tests.
- Follow all corporate security protocols and alert leadership when you suspect or have knowledge of a security breach or incident.
- When assigned, participate in cross-functional teams to help make our company and our products better.
- Be willing to take on other duties when assigned.
- Follow all company coding practices and development methodologies.
- Assist and support other developers and ask for assistance when dealing with a difficult problem.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or a combination of other qualifications.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience working full-time as a front-end software developer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- Significant PHP experience as most of our applications are in a LAMP tech stack using PHP.
Normal Working Hours and Conditions: Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm ET, but we do accommodate those who work out of other time zones. This position can require work to be performed outside of normal business hours based on Company operations and when working with offshore teams. This position will require travel 1 or 2 times per year with an expectation of 1 to 5 overnight stays.
Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting including verbally communicating, seeing, and hearing to exchange information and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard. Daily physical functions include standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time and occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may engage in lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds. The position also requires the operation of office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
