About The Opportunity

You will be Software Engineer for Avaya Digital Suite of products. You will solve technical problems in the team effort to participate in design, code, test and debug new complex software or significant enhancements to existing software. The product is building state of art Microservices platform to solve the digital aspects of Contact Center as a Service. You will part of rewriting the history of Avaya CCaaS market leadership in providing the cutting edge as-a-service solution to a complex problem.

About The Responsibilities

• Experience in software engineering, including experience in handling production systems
• Expert in core data structures as well as algorithms and can implement them using language of choice when necessary
• Demonstrated success working on software engineering problems
• Demonstrated ability in take requirements to high quality code.
• Ability to be rapidly effective with Java, JavaScript (Node.js and React) lead by example with high standards in code
• Strong sense of ownership and product understanding
• Conversant with Agile methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations.

About You

• Experience in designing & maintaining microservices on cloud- Azure or GCP or AWS
• Hands-on working knowledge of containers, and operationalizing them in the public cloud
• Focuses on quality in everything you do. Continue to raise the bar and drive others to deliver high-quality software and services.  Establish criteria for standard excellence with the ability to drive it forward. 
• Experience and knowledge of Redis, Kafka, Datadog
• Experience and knowledge of UML, Domain driven Design & Reactive Architecture
• Experience and knowledge of Cloud capabilities that can be leveraged for production grade microservices.
• Strong Java backend experience including designing fault-tolerant and scalable systems. 
• Experience in troubleshooting & debugging issues in production.
• Experience using cloud-native services and architecting cloud-native applications
• Curious about new technologies and processes. You always seek to improve yourself and everyone around you.  Proactively seek and share knowledge with others outside of your organization
• Strong relational database experience.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

• Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics (Graduate Degree always is a plus)
• A spirit of collaboration and transparent communication
• High personal code/development standards (peer testing, unit testing, documentation, etc)
• A natural curiosity for new scripting languages, frameworks, and technologies
• An Agile mindset with experience working in Agile environment

Compensation

The pay range for this opportunity is from $87,400 to $118,000 + performance-related bonus + benefits

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
