Position: Software Engineer I

Location: Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other software engineers, to develop and implement high-quality software solutions that align with our educational platform's objectives.
2. Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable Java Spring Boot applications to meet the company's evolving requirements.
3. Write well-structured, efficient, and documented code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
4. Optimize and enhance the performance of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
5. Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow team members.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and technical issues promptly, ensuring smooth operation of the applications.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Java Spring Boot and related technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
8. Collaborate in the planning and estimation of development tasks, ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience will also be considered.
2. Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on Java Spring Boot, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
3. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and in-depth knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
4. Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
5. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be advantageous.
6. Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
7. Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Knowledge of cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
