Software Engineer (Hybrid) Jobs

The Software Engineer’s primary responsibility will be to partner with other Software & Data Engineers, Clinical Operations, Clinicians, Sales, Administrative staff and outside vendors to build, update and manage various Healthcare Software Integrations & Automations. You will create and manage the development of assets to establish CI/CD, serverless application management tools, micro-services architecture and DevOps.
This is Hybrid/Remote Role that requires someone to be local to Portland, Oregon.
Key Requirements:

• Healthcare Experience
• Software testing & automation frameworks for CI/CD and other DevOps tools, such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, JIRA, Terraform / Terragrunt or similar
• Application Development in Python 3.7 or later
• AWS Cloud Development Kit & Serverless technologies

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• DevOps standards advocacy, including developing tests and approving code before it goes to Production.
• Foster the use of test automation, software performance monitoring, and data management tools across all levels of organization.
• Provide technical leadership on code quality, application performance and serverless best practices.
• Outage Prevention & Preparedness Plans
• Design and develop integration tools, both on-premises and cloud-based, to guide application development efficiencies and improve operational stability.
• Project Management, including tracking of deliverables.
• Define Engineering standards, tools, best practices, execution strategies, and roadmaps to connect current designs to long-term architecture plans.
• Software Design, Implementation, and Management
• Implementation strategies for software development and integration
• Team members, internal & external customers will look to you to provide advice and expertise on.
• Bugs, Quality Control and Incidents related to production environment applications.
• Demonstrate a Service mentality with care & responsiveness paid to collaboration with other team members,
• Develop processes to increase reliability of testing, maintain adherence to security best practices and create audit systems, alerts & controls.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Enterprise application / integration development with focus on Reliability, Resilience, Availability and Security
• AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM)
• Software testing & automation frameworks for CI/CD and other DevOps tools, such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, JIRA, Terraform / Terragrunt or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in:
• Application Development in Python 3.7 or later
• 5+ years of experience in:
• API Idempotence, Queueing, Rate Limits, Outages, Cost Optimization and the best patterns to address these issues.
• Writing, Reviewing, and Implementing business use cases, user stories and other functional requirements.
• Software Development in a Healthcare setting, including…
• Electronic Health or Medical Records Systems (EMR/EHR)
• ETL / ELT and Data Governance, including data validation & data quality mitigation strategies.
• AWS Well-Architected or similar frameworks for cloud application development focused on Operational Excellence, Security, Performance, Cost Optimization & Reliability
• HIPAA Compliance & Data Security including management of PHI.
• REST or GraphQL API design, development, and interoperability
• Domain and Event-driven architectures implemented in the cloud.
• HL7 v2, HL7 CDA or HL7 FHIR
• Data Management strategies include ingesting, storing, organizing and maintaining reliable records.
• AWS Cloud Development Kit & Serverless technologies
• Creating & Maintaining Technical Documentation
• Managing Data-Access and displaying data to end-users

Experience Preferred but not Required:

• Decomposing/Decoupling monoliths into component microservices
• API Gateways & Networking Configuration
• Familiarity with medallion data architecture
• SQL Query writing and/or familiarity with Query Optimization
• Some experience with Electronic Medical Record(s) Data Migrations

COMPENSATION RANGE:
$130k to $180k Annual
All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience and geographical locations.
