Software Development Intern – Hybrid Jobs

Write technical specifications given product requirements and estimate scope of work for technical implementation

Experience with Python, JavaScript or TypeScript

Experience with AngularJS, React or similar front-end framework

Previous experience in the solar and/or renewable energy industry; previous experience with B2B software

Basic knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Foster the use of test automation, software performance monitoring, and data management tools across all levels of organization.

Software Design, Implementation, and Management

Project Management, including tracking of deliverables.

Data Management strategies include ingesting, storing, organizing and maintaining reliable records.

HIPAA Compliance & Data Security including management of PHI.

5+ years of experience in:

Advanced OCR capabilities and data modeling

State of the art scanning hardware

.NET web applications, using C#

Vendor software packages for imaging and remittance processing

Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development lifecycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, and real-time communication)

Well-rounded experiences outside of the classroom with different technologies, resulting in projects that demonstrate strong engineering skills and abilities

Work on significant Tech business projects, attend meetings, and give presentations to senior management

Receive mentoring and coaching from members of GEICO’s Technology Solutions management

Hands-on experience with user requirements, web applications, coding reviews and code quality
