Job Description

Your purpose:

hc1 is seeking an innovative Application Architect with a high-aptitude for product definition and collaboration. With increasing business demands, we are looking for a solution visionary that is passionate about defining and roadmapping high-tech solutions with scalability in mind. This is a tremendously crucial addition to our team, offering high visibility to construct life-changing healthcare solutions using AWS.


What you will be doing:

  • Lead the design and development of hc1's products
  • Full-stack development
  • Lead projects with minimal supervision
  • Design and implement new features and components based on business requirements
  • Investigate and evaluate new and emerging technologies
  • Mentor other engineers
  • Troubleshoot and fix software application problems
  • Participate in hc1's software process quality efforts
  • Conduct code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of Agile methodologies to ensure high quality software
  • Produce working proof of concepts to jump-start development
  • Develop product specifications and technical designs

Your skills & experiences:

  • Experience in designing and developing modern distributed applications
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing and debugging Restful Web services and micro-services
  • 8+ years experience with software design and development
  • At least 1 year developing on AWS
  • Experience designing cloud-based systems
  • Experience architecting and delivering scalable products, considering deliverables such as technology compatibility, security, costs, etc.

Tech Stack you will be using:

  • Databases: MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, Snowflake
  • Web Services (REST)
  • Continuous integration tools (Github, Jenkins, TravisCI, Artifactory, JIRA)
  • Programming languages: Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, React
  • Container technologies: Docker, ECS
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS): ECS, Lambda, SNS, Cloudformation
  • Agile principles (Scrum): scrum master facilitated ceremonies: planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, demo and retro
