We are seeking a creative and results-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our travel industry team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging social media strategies, managing our social media platforms, and driving brand awareness and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel, a deep understanding of social media trends and platforms, and experience in creating compelling content.


  • Strong creative thinking and visual storytelling abilities.
  • Build and engage with our social media community, respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proven track record in creating engaging and shareable social media content, including text, images, and videos.
  • Monitor social media trends, travel industry news, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for engagement and content creation.
  • Identify and leverage partnerships with influencers and travel-related accounts to expand reach and engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
  • Manage and maintain our social media presence across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube, and more.
  • Stay up to date with emerging social media and community platforms and trends to provide recommendations for incorporating new strategies and features into our social media efforts.
  • Develop a content calendar and schedule posts in advance, ensuring consistent and timely content delivery.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Utilize social media management tools and analytics platforms to track performance, analyze data, and generate reports on key metrics.
  • Passion for travel and a keen interest in travel industry trends and destinations.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools, scheduling platforms, and analytics platforms.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with our marketing objectives and target audience.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and supplier partnerships teams to plan and execute social media campaigns and promotions that align with travel content and marketing initiatives.
  • Create and curate engaging and high-quality content, including text, images, videos, and infographics, to share on social media channels.


Experience And/Or Education


  • 2+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within the travel industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.


Physical Requirements


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel to home office or other locations as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at a time.
