Job Title: Social Media + Marketing Coordinator at Black Sheep Foods
Company Overview:
Black Sheep Foods is propelling the alternative protein industry forward by creating plant-based meats that actually taste better than their animal counterparts. We have developed a unique flavor tech platform that breaks down the taste of wild, non-domesticated animals at a molecular level and allows us to incorporate the best flavors into our products.
Our first product, plant-based lamb, has received rave reviews from chefs and customers alike, and is currently featured on menus at renowned restaurants across the country. As we expand our product line and marketing presence, we are seeking a Social Media + Marketing Coordinator to join our team in San Francisco. In this role, you'll elevate our digital brand, manage our social media narratives, and cultivate relationships with our growing customer base. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape brand strategies in the rapidly evolving plant-based food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Design promotional and point-of-sale materials using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, and Photoshop.
- Support the execution of marketing strategies across various channels, including digital, print, and events, to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends, and provide recommendations for content and campaign optimization.
- Collaborate with influencers and industry professionals to expand brand reach and recognition.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to produce high-quality promotional materials and campaigns.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of social media + marketing campaigns, offering insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
- Lead the company's social media presence, capturing high-quality content, curating engaging content and responding promptly to community interactions.
- Organize and manage marketing events, ensuring they align with brand objectives and reach the desired audience.
Qualifications:
- Access to a car is a major plus!
- Experience with graphic design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or Photoshop.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience curating static and video content, including Reels and TikToks utilizing platforms like InShot, Splice, or others.
- Proficient understanding of traditional and digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools for performance assessment.
- Must be available to work 4-5 days a week; ideally based in San Francisco or if not, in LA.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing and/or a related role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
