Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern

Position Summary:

Spencer Kent Communications is seeking a Social Media and Digital Marketing Intern for Summer 2023. The position will allow the intern to learn different facets of marketing including insight into digital advertising, social media, e-commerce, and media efficiency reporting.

General Duties:

• Work with the SKC team to assist with content calendars and copywriting

• Assist in managing social media content and customer engagement for various clients

• Prepare data-driven media efficiency reports for various clients

• Assist with web set-up for e-commerce sites (via Shopify and Pagefly)

Job Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a passion and focus in digital marketing and social media

• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with high attention to detail

• Passionate about digital trends and on-the-pulse of current marketing techniques on social and beyond

• Willingness to think outside the box and bring new ideas to the table

• Strong ability to meet deadlines and to anticipate next steps

• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Be available to work at least 15 hours per week

About Us:

Spencer Kent Communications is a boutique digital marketing agency located in Los Angeles, CA. We’re a four-person team with clients primarily in the beauty and luxury hospitality industry. Some of our duties include: managing digital advertising on Meta, Google, and display ads, maintaining social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest and handling customer engagement and support through social media. SKC runs mostly remotely, utilizing primarily Slack and Zoom to collaborate. We are planning to create opportunities for an in-person work environment throughout the summer for our team members in the Los Angeles area.
