About This Opportunity


We’re looking for a Social Media Community Coordinator, Gaming to cultivate and strengthen engagement with the MillerKnoll social communities (Design Within Reach, Knoll, Muuto, HAY, Fully and Herman Miller brands. The primary focus of this position will initially be on Herman Miller Gaming, but it will support our family of brands. Our Global Social Media team drives brand awareness, consideration, demand, and loyalty. In collaboration with cross-functional teammates, you will develop an intimate understanding of our social audiences across platforms and deepen relationships with those communities via listening, engaging, and reporting in support of overall brand goals.


What You’ll Do


Your day-to-day work will involve:


Listening to and Engaging Communities


  • Identify trends in social media and culture to determine and inform relevant opportunities for the brand.
  • Develop new and improve existing keyword lists to pro-actively listen to and support our social communities.
  • Develop guidelines on tone of voice and community engagement, monitor and respond to comments, identify high-value segments.
  • Develop and execute a global community management strategy in collaboration with the marketing team designed to grow audiences, develop brand affinity, increase share of voice, leverage influencers, and increase revenue.
  • Build positive relationships with consumers, influencers, and industry professionals through thoughtful social interactions or initiatives such as giveaways.
  • Initiate community listening campaigns and develop insights and recommendations to increase brand awareness, engagement, and loyalty
  • Ability to make smart, thoughtful decisions to create content for and responses to the community and influencers that are on message and on brand


Content Creation, Publishing, Influencer Management


  • Assist with maintenance and optimization of our social media management tools.
  • Collaborate with teammates to concept and create content customized for each channel as well as curate user-generated content. Support publishing across platforms that include Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, Discord, Facebook, and Pinterest, among others.
  • Support influencer strategy, outreach, relationship management, and reporting on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube and others.
  • Ensure all published content is consistent with brand social guidelines and standards.
  • Support live event engagement and reporting


Reporting and Optimizing


  • Generate and present recommendations that improve channel, content, and community engagement performance.
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics, native platform insights, and social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Curalate, and CreatorIQ to generate insights, learnings, and recommendations that will increase customer lifetime value.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging trends, platforms, and players to push Herman Miller Gaming to the forefront of social.
  • A deep understanding and curiosity for social media and the associated tools, technology and platforms

You might be just who we're looking for if you have:


  • An eye for details like grammar, punctuation, and tone.
  • The ability to interpret social media data and form recommendations to improve performance.
  • Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to thoughtfully engage with a diverse array of people and perspectives.
  • One to two years of hands-on experience using enterprise level social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Sprout Social, or a similar tool. Sprinklr experience a plus.
  • Experience working in the gaming industry and a passion for Play a plus
  • The ability to be self-motivated and a proactive problem-solver.
  • Two to four years of social media management for brands; ideally within a complex, fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Curiosity in what’s trending on social media and why people are talking about it.
  • A deep knowledge of trends in social media technology and consumer behaviors as well best practices for brands.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.

A starting compensation range for this role is $58,801.60 - $73,450.80. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
