Job Description
What You’ll Do:


  • Evaluate tech stacks and implement new technologies to improve reliability
  • Leverage critical thinking to improve best practices and provide recommendations that ensure reliability and resiliency.
  • Provide guidance to those in less senior positions. Manage operations of critical applications used by external and internal customers, resolving incidents, providing operations support, maintenance, enhancements
  • Automate the support functions to improve operational efficiency
  • Lead improvement initiatives that are aligned with overarching global reliability of the company's systems, including capacity planning, failover strategies, performance improvements and reduction of Mean Time to Awareness/Resolve.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes
  • Under limited supervision, develop and design deliverables that support the resolution of complex problems and technical design gaps.
  • Create site reliability strategy and roadmap and establish SRE engagement models
What You’ll Know:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or related field or equivalent formal training or work experience.
  • Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.


Skills Considered a Plus:


  • Experience with visualization tools like Power BI
  • Software development experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, API, webhooks
  • Experience in FinOps - Cloud cost management
  • Experience with data engineering using Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hub, Flink, Cosmos DB, etc.
  • Experience in enabling the product for operational visibility through proper instrumentation like Dynatrace, App Dynamics and Azure App Insights, PagerDuty, Datadog, etc.
  • Software development experience with modern UI ecosystem, including Angular and React
  • Knowledge in Infrastructure as code (IaC) like Terraform
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, Azure or other Cloud technologies
  • Strong SRE background, with experience in Cloud platforms, Software Development, DevOps, and Data Engineering
  • Experience/knowledge in capacity planning, demand forecast based on production KPIs and provisioning.


SRE LEVEL:


SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER III:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training and/or work experience.
  • Two (2) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.


SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER LEAD:


  • Five (5) or more years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or related field or equivalent formal training or work experience.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
