Job Description
Our team is accountable for the deployment, integration, and management of private, public, and/or hybrid cloud platform services supporting the development of advanced analytical applications at enterprise scale. You'll demonstrate networking and security protocol knowledge to ensure a safe and scalable environment, while protecting accessibility to data assets residing within. You'll tap into your expertise in developing infrastructure as code using scripts, templates, blueprints, workflows, CI/CD orchestration tools, and other automation technologies in the spirit of speed and consistency. Continuous teamwork will be a meaningful aspect of this role as you will work with a variety of architects and peer engineering teams to ensure our cloud solutions meet the organization's needs!


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
  • Follow information security guidelines to secure all cloud-based resources.
  • Running periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
  • Excellent understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, Java, Json Yaml, IaC, Terraform
  • Configuration and handling databases such as MySQL, Mongo
  • Work closely with Security and SRE teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Build metrics and monitoring solutions to track latency and overall health of the system.
  • Supervising the processes during the entire lifecycle for its alignment and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Solid understanding of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
  • Experience working on an Azure based infrastructure
  • Create and maintain source code repository and gated CI/CD pipelines to build, package and deploy applications
  • Use infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform to provision and support reliable, fault tolerant and scalable cloud-based storage, compute, and networking services
  • Design and implement enterprise-level data ingestion and streaming pipelines using Open Source frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, Nifi, and Kafka on ADO (Azure Dev Ops)
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • End to end implementation of CICD pipelines from scratch
  • Work with data governance and data lake teams to implement access controls to data and services


Minimum Qualifications:


Cloud Engineer II:


Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Three (3) years’ experience in cloud engineering or related field. Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting. Strong oral and written communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

Cloud Engineer III:


Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years’ experience in cloud engineering or related field. Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting. Some experience as a leader or a senior member of multi-function project teams. Strong oral and written communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.


Cloud Engineer Lead:


Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Seven (7) years’ experience in cloud engineering or related field. Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting. Experience as a leader or a senior member of multi-function project teams. Strong oral and written communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.


Domicile / Relocation Information:


  • This position can be located anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
