Description:
Innovative, market-leading underwater measurement company 3D at Depth is looking for marine robotics specialists of all levels to work with its new Hybrid AUV, the Cuvier Deep as it further expands its service offering to its large client base.
The role is remote, predominantly offshore operating globally with the possibility of some occasional onshore working from home or other company or client facilities. 3D at Depth is actively recruiting all levels of experience from junior to senior.
About you:
We will consider all applicants however you will preferably be from either an ROV background with experience working with Saab Seaeye vehicles or from a survey/survey tech/engineer background with experience working with AUVs preferably the Saab Sabertooth.
You will be a flexible, self-motivated, proactive team member, enthusiastic about working with and developing new technology. Ideally, you will have worked offshore for at least 2 years and already hold the required offshore medical and survival certificates allowing you to travel globally.
Senior grade levels will require experience in managing, training and mentoring teams and be committed to delivering client projects to the highest safety and quality standards.
If you are from an ROV background, you will hold in-date proof of competency for your current level. If from a survey background, you will have completed either the IMCA or an in-house survey/survey engineer competency equivalent and can provide sufficient project history and formal qualifications to support your application.
Dependent on your background you will have knowledge and experience in some or all the following areas:
- High Voltage (HV) electrical operations (ROV personnel to hold HV Cert).
- Competent in electronic and network engineering and fault finding.
- ROV operations and systems including tether management, LARS and winches both hydraulic and electrical.
- Pipeline/cable surveys including DOB.
- Acoustic communication and positioning systems
- Understanding of system integrations and survey sensors.
- Survey software (QPS & EIVA).
- Geophysical surveys including MBES, SSS, SBP, Magnetometer.
- Offshore QHSE.
- Untethered vehicle operations/mission planning (AUV)
- Structure inspections including FMD, UWILD, CP.
- Fiber Optics including termination, diagnostics and fault finding.
