Job Description
As part of the Dataworks team, you will be developing and managing people operations solutions that are transforming the fabric of FedEx. You will be part of a team of change-agents that embrace the "art of the possible" by taking a data-driven approach.


The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about, and have hands-on experience in fact-finding, investigations and/or compliance in a corporate setting. They’ll be able to lead and execute case work independently, think critically, and be able to gather facts and information in a timely, defensible manner while remembering that everyone they speak to is a colleague and person first. We act with empathy and objectivity and ensure that the quality of our work and employees’ experiences are paramount. This role will also lead and continue to develop our compliance program which is comprised of AAP and I-9 processes, among others. They’ll also have a genuine interest in helping others grow, by embracing the opportunity to guide and advise employees on policies, procedures and processes, and lead and conduct trainings as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • In partnership with other stakeholders, develop and execute relevant trainings for Dataworks. Provide coaching and guidance to leadership and employees as necessary regarding FedEx Dataworks policies, procedures and processes.
  • Gather and analyze relevant facts and information and make recommendations on progressive corrective action and risk mitigation. Identify issues, contributing factors to alleged misconduct/wrongdoing, and potential opportunities for remedies. Apply understanding of company policies and procedures to evaluate allegations and compliance concerns.
  • Develop and maintain metrics regarding investigations, corrective action, and compliance.
  • Ensure we deliver an outstanding people-focused, quality experience to our internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate verbally and in writing, sharing relevant facts and information in support of fact-finding/investigations and other compliance activities, including but not limited to defensible reports and summaries
  • Communicate with clarity and empathy to members of diverse populations in remote, hybrid and/or in-person settings.
  • Drive the continued growth and stabilization of our compliance program including but not limited to AAP and I-9 processes, among others.
  • Developing, implementing and sustaining the growth of our FedEx Dataworks investigations/employee resolution and compliance program as the program lead.
  • Lead and execute investigations/fact-finding into alleged employee misconduct and potential rule, policy and/or procedural violations with an objective mindset and approach, ability to spot issues and address and mitigate risk. Address situations in a timely, defensible manner and with quality, our principles, and the employee’s experiences as a priority. Partner closely with Director of People Operations for complex, highly sensitive situations.
  • Provide expertise to business management and People Team, ensuring relevant policies and procedures are administered consistently across all business units.
  • Support other programs and processes within the People Team as needed
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, People Team and business leadership to drive and continuously improve the program so that it is aligned with the Company’s strategic objectives, principles, priorities and compliant.


Minimum Qualifications:


Investigations and Compliance Lead


  • Strong organization, planning, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience in compliance and/or fact-finding/investigations.
  • Previous, relevant experience obtained in a corporate setting is preferred.


Investigations and Compliance III


  • Strong organization, planning, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in compliance and/or fact-finding/investigations.
  • Previous, relevant experience obtained in a corporate setting is preferred.

Additional InformationColorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, California, Rhode Island and Washington Residents Only - Compensation: Annual Salary: $87,120.00 - $173,875.00. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
