The site Recruiter is charged with the responsibility of proactively seeking out quality wage candidates, confirming their qualifications, and recommending placement into open positions. The recruiter will directly collaborate with department leadership on a regular basis to understand future hiring needs. This position must attract candidates using various sources, such as social media networks, employee referrals, and various other methods.
Key Expected Achievements
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, performing background checks, etc.
  • Support the onboarding of new employees
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc.
  • Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media etc.
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/etc.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, and aptitudes
  • Arrange pre-employment screening requirements, drug test, background checks and fit test
  • Build employer branding within the community by participating in community events or functions
  • Promote company as employer of choice within the greater area
  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with databases and various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Advanced education is preferred
  • Supports change management processes
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • Some local travel required in the immediate areas around the facility
  • Validated ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, etc.)
  • Confirmed work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
