Summary
We are looking for a Partnership Research Manager that will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary research, including the formation, execution, and evaluation of internal survey projects. You will also be an internal consultant for best practices across the NBA, NFL, etc. in support of partnership sales pitches and recaps, and other organizational data needs. You will be responsible for supporting all properties including the Detroit Pistons, Motor City Cruise, Pistons GT and 313 Presents. This position is remote (United States).

What you’ll be doing
  • Assist with Corporate Partnership sales pitches and recap reporting.
  • Conduct sports and entertainment industry research focus on (but not limited to) sponsorship, teams, venues, competitors, trends, client prospects, and current events.
  • Participate in Corporate Partnership brainstorming sessions, when necessary.
  • Build high-quality visualizations that illustrate the stories underlying the data we collect.
  • Provide data-driven fan insights for our multi-property partnership sales and engagement team.
  • Collaborate with other research professionals, such as vendors, consultants, third-party market research analysts and NBA league office to conduct more comprehensive research projects.
  • Conduct external and internal research studies, managing the scope, timeline, and deliverables, followed by presentation of results.
  • Monitor and analyze consumer insights, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, fan experience, and other key metrics through postgame surveys.
  • Identify and present on partnership opportunities using market research and first-hand discovery of best-practice industry activations.
  • Coach departments throughout organization in understanding and presenting data.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience with a YouGov or other 3rd party survey platforms a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, service, and resolution skills
  • Experience with Qualtrics, Medallia, Decipher, or other survey creation services a plus
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Sophisticated MS Office skills – Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization programs a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required
  • 2-3 years of experience in market research preferred
  • Self-motivated and innovative, inquisitive by nature.
  • A passion for sports business, specifically corporate partnerships a plus
  • Ability to run multiple project timelines simultaneously and meet deadlines.
