The Sign Project Administrator will review governmental regulations and lease/purchase contracts to determine and recommend appropriate signage for all new, relocated, acquired store and distribution center projects. They will collaborate and coordinate with Construction Project Administrator, general contractor, installation company, manufacturing sign companies, and government officials to ensure signs are permitted, ordered, shipped, installed on time and as required.
Essential Job Functions
- Communicate status of installations regularly and timely to Divisional Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, District Managers and other involved parties, as needed.
- Review preliminary site plan, recommend exterior signage strategy, and develop a proposal for site signage based on municipal code, legal documentation, and the preliminary site information.
- Review city/county ordinances as they apply to each specific potential location, confirm regulations with government officials, verify zoning and other property factors that affect code allowance, document all confirmed details and provide summary of expected sign strategy for Expansion Committee Stage II review.
- Manage multiple assigned projects, in differing stages of development, to ensure every phase is completed accurately, meeting all milestone timelines, so exterior signage is installed prior to opening at new and relocating locations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including sign codes, vendor information and performance rating, budgeting, invoices, finalized permitting, sign drawings, sign asset management for all installed and orphan signs, and accurate store photos of completion.
Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma. Some college a plus but not required.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel, as well as standard office equipment.
- Three or more years of office or project management experience.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail, time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Strong customer service and communication skills.
