JOB SUMMARY
Both shifts available! Swing shift starts at 4:30 p.m. and pays a 10% on all wages.\ Under general supervision, assists in cleaning areas and machines in the shop. Assists Machinists in setting up various machines for machining activities as well as dismantling setups. Assists in finding and transporting the correct tools, slings, etc. Performs various inspections (crane, etc.) as necessary. May assist in moving parts/bins via forklift to other areas. May assist in maintenance activities such as cleaning/dismantling/oiling machines.
Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines
• General mechanical ability
• One year experience working in a shop/production environment highly preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools such as wrenches, power tools, etc.
• Must be flexible and adaptable with regard to changing priorities and assignments
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends on a regular basis. Regular shift is 8 - 10 hours, five days a week and some 6-hour shift work on Saturdays.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and understand instructions

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Shop floor environment with noise (under 80 db), dirt, oil and grease. Walking surfaces may be slippery and slip-resistant shoes are required. Occasional exposure to air-borne oil/coolant mist and hazardous chemicals. Position requires individual to be able to see, handle and manipulate tools and parts, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., to climb in or on large machined parts and/or over or on large CNC machines.
