Shipping & Receiving - 2Nd Shift ($21.51/Hour - $25.65/Hour)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable team member on second (2nd) shift to perform various shipping and receiving duties to support facility operations. The starting rate for this position is $20.81/hour and goes up to $24.95/hour, plus a shift premium of $0.70/hour. Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Properly document incoming goods or products to work standards.
• Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs.
• Ensures appropriate preparing, expediting, dispatching, picking and loading of shipments.
• Uses various types of powered industrial vehicles and crane systems to move materials.
• Completes additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications:
• Prepares export documents, bills of lading, packing lists, and miscellaneous forms.
• Maintains work areas by cleaning and organizing the space and equipment.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Must be able to read tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Completes various types of paperwork related to inspections and production reporting.
• Understand and facilitate Kanban inventory system accuracy.
• Uses knowledge of the air and motor freight systems, practices, rates, and the routing, to effect most practical and economic method of shipment.
• Performs basic water based painting.
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Verify product / quantity and ensures raw parts and materials are stored safely in the proper location.
• Previous over-head crane experience preferred
• Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required
• Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and all company policies.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete tasks that may be repetitive.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. Closing Statement Physical Demands/Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to hear and speak. The employee must regularly stand, walk, sit and use hands to grasp and handle. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs. The employee will regularly bend, stoop, and stretch handling parts/objects in various situations. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. This position may be exposed to oils, dirt, fumes and moving equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
