Shipping Production Worker-2Nd Shift

Description:

Select and prepare product for shipment to customers. Receive in product and materials from customers and vendors. The hours are 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Monday - Friday. There is an additional shift allowance of $2.00 per hour for second shift. Top pay of $27.91 plus shift allowance reached within 2.5 years with regular quarterly raises from 6 months. We also have a $500.00 sign on bonus that is payable after 90 days - attendance conditions apply.

Essential Duties and Tasks

• Accurately identify and select correct product in accordance with parts list.
• Build wooden pallets.
• Detect and notify supervisor of faulty operation of equipment and defective product and/or materials.
• Assure that all materials and supplies are available as needed in order to promote maximum efficiency for each work process and meet set productivity goals each day.
• Get orders ready for shipment.
• Inspect shipment to verify conformance to parts list.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.

Working Conditions

• Steady pace with set productivity goals to be met each day.
• Non-temperature regulated facility and trucks.
• Manufacturing facility/ warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
• 8 hour work days – 5 days per week (Monday – Friday) 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Constant material transport via fork lift throughout facility.
• Work alone or with other co-workers.
• Mandatory overtime depending on operation schedule.

Physical Demands

• Exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or 50 lbs to 75 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 75 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
• Constant walking, standing, bending, squatting and stooping.
• Constant reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Constant precisely coordinated movements of the fingers and hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.

Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math calculations.
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required.
• Able to read standard tape measure.
• Identify and select product accurately.
