• 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shifts are available. Shift premiums available for 2nd and 3rd shift employees.

The Processing Technician builds high quality radiation detectors in a clean, temperature, and humidity controlled environment. This is not your typical manufacturing location! In a typical day, the assembly technician will read work instructions and specifications to prepare crystals, housings, and seals to assemble detectors.

All technicians are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (shoes, glasses, etc.), work a scheduled 40 hours per week, follow all environmental, health, and safety policies and be willing to learn.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment High school and/or college chemistry would be an advantage, but not required.
• Mathematical Skills: The applicant must possess the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In addition, the applicant must possess the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and metric conversions.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the individual may have to lift 40pounds unassisted. Depending on the task, the individual will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the individual may be exposed to moving mechanical equipment and small amounts of hazardous materials and airborne particles. Contact lenses are prohibited in some assembly areas.
