SUMMARY

The Shared Services team at The Haverford Trust Company is responsible for providing collaborative, timely, high-quality support to internal business partners. With a focus on service excellence, the Shared Services team helps to ensure consistent and positive experiences for Haverford’s clients.

The Shared Services Specialist reports to and partners closely with the Director of Shared Services. Their primary responsibility is providing administrative and operational support to team members at all levels of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

· Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30AM – 5:30PM EST.

· Hybrid work schedule with set days to work from home and in the office in Radnor, PA.

· Periodically, local travel and the need to work additional hours are needed to meet work expectations; we endeavor to provide as much notice as possible in these instances.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Research and resolve outstanding Compliance and other Operational issues that may arise.
  • Proactively assess client and Client Service team needs, with a focus on retention and procurement of assets, while ensuring client satisfaction for all levels of service.
  • Build positive relationships and collaborate with other teams and groups throughout the firm by being an ambassador for the Shared Services team.
  • Collaborate with the Client Service team, Operations, and third parties to ensure a smooth transition into Haverford Trust for all new investment advisory and trust accounts, including monitoring of funding, reconciliation of incoming assets, and attainment of original cost basis.
  • Assist in the daily administration of clients’ investment/trust accounts including mailings, answering questions, processing distributions, establishing new and maintaining existing accounts, and performing other traditional client service functions.
  • Collaborate with other Shared Services team members to review current policies and procedures and recommend changes that will increase efficiency and promote uniformity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
  • Act as subject matter expert for all Haverford systems and processes.
  • Take an engaged role in team and firm-wide initiatives including integration of new technology and special non-recurring and ongoing projects.
  • Prepare client reporting packages (performance, financial charts, etc.) and prepare presentation material for client meetings and/or prospect meetings.
  • Maintain a high standard of verbal and written communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a client service role, preferably in the financial sector.
  • BA or BS in Finance or related field is preferred.
