Job Description

The Senior Trade Marketing Manager will support the Marketing Director in implementing the overall Marketing strategy and all related programs for both existing and new lines in the Perfume axis.


This role will work collaboratively with other members of the Perfume Department, including Accounts, Sales, Education and Global Teams.



Trade Marketing – 60%

  • Maintain dotcom promotional calendar for e-retailers
  • Make analytically supported recommendations to influence sales performance
  • Measure marketing program effectiveness via regular monitoring of KPI's
  • Manage Co-Op + Event Budgets for each retailer
  • Help drive the integration of brick and mortar and .com, working to evolve the business and service models to fully capitalize on the strengths of each channel
  • Serve as Marketing Key Contact for retailers including Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Dillard's, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks
  • Support the creation of account-specific strategies, including launch support and seasonal integrated calendar
  • Create targeted co-op media programs for key consumer segments


Consumer Marketing – 25%

  • Develop test and learn in-store marketing programs
  • Conduct competitive research to support in building a robust consumer-centric strategy
  • Lead development of seasonal communications to the Field
  • Assist Marketing Director in identifying regional priorities and develop overall 360 Consumer Marketing Strategy
  • Develop relevant retailer animations, VIP events, Clienteling


Product Marketing – 15%

  • Lead Collateral Forecasting Process for new + existing SKUs
  • Conduct competitive analysis at key moments, providing key learnings and recommendations
  • Conduct Post-mortem evaluation of new launch performance
  • Conduct Quarterly NPD analysis

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to tell a story with data and find real insights to drive business
  • Knowledge of NPD, MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge in all areas of Marketing (programs development, media planning including digital, market analysis, market research, P&L management, marketing plans development…) and project management skills
  • Proactivity and start-up mindset: ability to move, propose new ideas and take actions before asked
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good knowledge of social media and influencer programs
  • Focus on results and tenacity to get things done on time and on budget despite internal and external obstacles
  • Experience in beauty categories is a must and in fragrances would be ideal
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in Marketing or product management
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business is required, MBA preferred
