What you will do -

As the Senior Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, documentation, electro-mechanical assembly of fixtures, and assembly of prototypes. You will also be responsible for supporting Robotics system maintenance as well as integration activities during product development.

  • Design and assemble test fixtures as needed
  • Utilize metrology equipment including CMM, Articulate Arm, Laser scanners and trackers, Tensile/compression and fatigue Testers
  • Work from verbal and/or written instructions
  • Comply with documentation procedures and appropriate engineering standards
  • Work with equipment suppliers as required
  • Work effectively with machine shop tools including Lathe, Milling machine, CNC, etc.
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, think outside the box and solve complex problems
  • Train others on technical function related procedures
  • Coordinate with other units to ensure appropriate tests, equipment and results are obtained
  • Extract and process data/findings into formal written and verbal reports which comply with FDA requirements
  • Prioritize, schedule, design and perform routine to extremely complex experiments of a broad scope, which comply with Stryker requirements and appropriate engineering standards

What you need -

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite required; Knowledge of software such as Expandable ERP, Oracle, SAP, ServiceMax, and/or Trackwise -preferred
  • 5+ years of experience required; Technical, mechanical and/or electrical work experience in medical device development -preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of robotics or highly complex product – preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical or Associates Degree -preferred
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including weekend and evening call as needed.
