Electronic Technician (Two Needed)

Job Summary

Are you someone who has a passion for analyzing, calibration, and repair of electrical & electronic: assemblies, components, products, and systems? CME is looking for the right problem-solving person to be our Electronic Technician. As an Technician you will apply electronic theory and electrical related knowledge, to build, calibrate, repair, trouble-shoot, and modify electrical components (circuitry, controls, and machinery) to customer specifications/requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Read and understand schematics, mechanical drawings, BOMS and wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components for purposes of assembly, calibration, preventative maintenance, dealing with obsolescence and test of electrical/electronic products.
• Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
• Test electronics/electrical units, using standard test equipment, and analyze test & Write reports as well as record data
• Knowledge & use of lab test equipment: DVM's scopes, function generators and power supplies, and hand/power tools including but not limited to soldering iron
• Prototyping & troubleshooting electrical/electronic products including wiring assembly, soldering, test and troubleshooting or electrical/electronic products utilizing digital logic, resistors, capacitors, semiconductors and transformers, wires & circuits, etc.
• Provide user applications and engineering support/recommendations for new and existing equipment as well as repair reports/estimates for service

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology for the design and production of various goods and services
• Basic computer skills: MS Office, Visio and schematic capture (Althium/Orcad a plus), Dozuki
• Knowledge of skilled SMT fabrication and rework
• Knowledge of calibration, circuit boards, chips, computer hardware & software, electronic equipment, machinery and tools, and processors, including applications and programming with ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to apply hands-on experience to design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Proficient communication in writing
• Preference for details & ability to accurately produce/reproduce product

Minimum Requirements Needed

• Predictive Index Assessment (Behavior & Cognitive), Reference, Credit, & Drug Testing
• Positions with CME require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. • 2 years of experience, specialized training, and/or trade/vocational school
• High School or AA/AS degree from an Accredited College/University (AA/AS degree preferred)

Travel Percentage Required: Minimal & Usually Local to Vendors. 0% -5%
