Voyager Technologies is an autonomous maritime software startup company in pre seed.We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a software project manager.

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a software project manager. The responsibilities of the software project manager include overseeing software projects from start to finish, managing and motivating software developers and other team members, giving investor presentations alongside the CEO and execute team, and writing project proposals.

To be successful as a software project manager, you should have a good working knowledge of project estimation techniques and the ability to motivate team members. Ultimately, a top-notch software project manager should have good communication and decision-making skills.

Our core project is focused on gathering data and creating basic autonomous navigation software from the foundational level, that will be used during investor capital presentations.

Software Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Participating in and supervising each stage of the project.
• Discussing potential projects and their parameters with executives and software developers.
• Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deadlines.
• Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products in all stages of completion.
• Delivering completed software products to clients and performing regular checks on the products' performance.
• Tracking milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
• Serving as a liaison to communicate information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other pertinent information.
• Planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, allocating resources, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance.
• Assembling and leading the project team.
• Creating a project budget and ensuring the project adheres to the budget as closely as possible.

Software Project Manager Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of project estimation techniques.
• Good leadership, decision-making, and organization skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent technical knowledge.
• A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management and software development.

Additional Qualifications:

• Have a strong understanding of and ability to use the software and hardware to create autonomous navigation software and simulations.
• Be willing to work for a startup. This could make you a millionaire or we will have fun trying!
• Be willing to work in the unknown and push the boundaries of the known.
• Have a good understanding of autonomous vehicle navigation and dynamic variables; including hardware sensor suites.
• Be able to work on this project a few hours a week, we know you have a life and are working for free with only the potential of financial gain, we are realistic with how big of an ask this is!
