Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Security Technician to join our team! In this role you will get to fabricate, pre – configure and test all Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems and badging systems designed and installed by ISS.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a minimum SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Pull and terminate low voltage signal and network cables.
• Reading and interpreting building plans (blueprints).
• Install systems in accordance with the designed system.
• Low voltage DC electronic systems / electromechanical systems.
• Maintaining “Redlines”.
• Identify defects with various components and find suitable replacements.
• AC power distribution systems.
• Install, fusion-splice, and terminate fiber optic cable.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and multi-meters.
• Motors, motor controls, disconnects, relays.
• Reading, interpreting, and editing electrical, electronic, and electromechanical schematics.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, including controls, power supplies, gauges and sensors.
• Read and understand installation design plans, schematics, and manufacturers’ literature for electrical and electronic components.
• Proficient in using and communicating through MS Office products. Strong familiarity with using computers.
• A week at a time to backfill for technicians PTO no more than every couple months.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• At least five years in electronics technology.
• Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), intrusion detection systems (IDS, automated access control systems (ACS) and basis networking.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with installing in accordance with AFI 31 – 101, AF Siting Criteria.
