Responsibilities

• Foster a learning environment for the development of the other Retouchers working alongside them
• Execute high-quality jewelry product still life retouching for brand image assets as needed. Including: product (50%), on-figure (30%), misc. assets (20%)
• Partner closely with shoot Digital Tech’s to coordinate best capture practices with end goals in mind, and seamlessly plan for file delivery from shoot into retouching
• High-caliber product color correction/color matching, product surface cleanup, compositing, complex masking, surface reflection rebuilding, complex product re-building/manipulation, and raw file processing
• Manage and maintain excellent file structure and file workflow practices
• Maintain a high volume of image output on a daily basis within rigorous deadlines
• Implement still life retouching quality standards, and quality assurance practices and workflows
• Collaborate daily with Director of Production and creative department production team members on project status/image reviews. Field daily requests to review and revise images to enforce brand image quality standards

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple projects seamlessly and work with precision under rigorous deadlines
• Exceptional visual acuity and ability to interpret photographic color, and ability to effectively articulate and implement image changes
• Experience with high-caliber still life image retouching
• Experience with e-com retouching workflows in fashion/luxury goods sectors a plus
• Familiarity and understanding of current and historical trends in fashion, fashion advertising art, and photography, a plus
• 5+ years experience of high output and high – caliber retouching in retouching studio or in-house creative department focusing on jewelry, fashion, or luxury good required
• Ability to communicate effectively with producers, art directors, and production team members across various departments and external production partners
• Absolute proficiency in Photoshop and CaptureOne
• Strong familiarity of photoshoot post-production processes (both lifestyle and still-life content)
• Understanding of RGB and CMYK workflows and color management

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in photography, graphic design, or related field required

Estimated Salary Range: $90,000-95,000
