Job Title: Buyer

Salary: $120k - $130k base (plus discretionary, year-end bonus)

Location: Hollywood, FL (this is an in-office, Mon. - Fri. with every other Friday work from home option...maybe trending to every Friday work from home.)

Job Summary:

We are a quickly growing, rapidly expanding chain of retail stores. Our Buyer candidate must be detail oriented, motivated to drive sales and prepared to join our dynamic team. The Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work quickly under pressure, problem solve and possess strong organizational skills.. Retail experience with a large chain is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of plans with planning team to ensure seasonal buying decisions and product purchases are aligned.
• Work closely with vendors to identify and select items and drive decisions
• Negotiate all facets of product purchase, terms, price, quantities, etc.
• Selection of product, communication with vendors, assortment planning and development for assigned product category
• Understand and be aware of the competitive landscape of other companies in the marketplace.
• Attend trade shows.
• Collaborate and align with cross functional teams on new trends or categories with the end goal of purchasing the best products for our customers.
• Exhibit professional conduct in all business relationships, actions and communications.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct analysis, solve problems and make decisions.
• Experience in product development is a plus.
• Minimum five years retail buying experience.
• Proficient PC skills and ability to work with computer applications and programs such as MS Excel and Word.
• Able to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising or related field (preferred).
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong sense of style and ability to carry out a strategic vision.
