We are looking for a Retail Category Senior Specialist who will have ownership of ad-hoc data, analysis & identifying recommendations/opportunities for improving Private Brands performance. This position will manage suppliers and wholesale supply chain process and product inventory levels, developing forecasting and product order recommendations, working directly with suppliers daily to ensure supply continuity, and coordinating product related needs for major promotions including securing detailed BU commitments and supplier production plans.

What You Will Do

Here are just a few ways that you’ll help make journeys better: 

• Supporting Private Brands merchandising projects; Coordinating with manufacturer, BUs and managing fixture ordering, and tracking delivery and installations.
• Own process and tasks for follow-ups of BUs related to products and promotional activities; Recommending, collecting, coordinating & communicating BU forecasts & order commitments.
• Own process and related tasks for end-to-end New Product set-up with Supplier, Wholesalers and all internal Circle K departments & systems.
• Data & Analytics – running gap analyses to identify new opportunities and executing reports and data to identify sales opportunities for existing items at the BU level.
• Ad-Hoc data & Analysis work as needed; provide insights & recommendations based on analysis.
• Manage suppliers as it relates to new product launches & distributions, ongoing inventory planning for weekly store needs and major promotions.
• Monitoring inventory levels and recommending corrective action on supply chain issues – identifying OOS situations and working to address them.
• Lead annual budgeting process, develop & train team on tools & templates, build forecasts & budgets, build tracking reports and presentation content.
• Post-promotional analysis of major promotional events and analysis of best practices and potential improvements.
• Research, gather and maintain a library of potential new product manufacturers and suppliers across all categories.

What You Need

• Experience in deriving actions & recommendations from data analysis and consumer insights
• Well-organized, structured with a high capacity to handle a lot of tasks with speed, quality and accuracy.
• High level of technical skills in Microsoft Office and other data analysis tools
• 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Strong category management & marketing experience
• Solid retail experience & understanding
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Extensive experience in developing & working with data, analysis, and reporting solutions.
