We are seeking a highly motivatedSenior Project Manager or Project Managerto join our growing Design Management Services in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience insite design, roadway, stormwater management, and utility design. This position has the unique ability to partner with and learn from some of the best engineers, project managers, and other technical staff in the industry.

Individual will be responsible for working with Architects, Engineers, Landscape Architects, and other professionals in the development of the overall layout and original designs, or adaptations, for projects.Individual will work as a member of a project group and accountable to the Team Leader who will offer guidance to assure functional excellence, competency, and development.

Responsibilities

• Organizing designs and details to produce a completed set of drawings
• Researching and writing reports/opinions
• Investigation and procurement of data required to develop a design
• Preparation of sketches, drawings, and specifications for a project from verbal or written instruction
• Completing construction cost estimates.
• Client and project management, and lead engineering design and support on a wide variety of commercial, industrial and institutional development projects for diverse client base.
• Engineering analyses and calculations
• Utilization of various engineering related computer software
• Compiling project specifications.
• Gaining project approvals through local and state agencies, including meetings with agencies and responding to comments.

Senior Project Manager Minimum Qualifications And Experience

• All experience listed below for Project Manager position
• 10-15 years of related experience
• M.S. Degree in Civil Engineering preferred, B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia

Project Manager Minimum Qualifications And Experience

• Knowledge of and experience working with VDEQ stormwater and erosion control regulations and requirements
• Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D with grading, drainage, and stormwater management, in private, public, or Federal land development projects is desired
• Experience with Client management
• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical experience
• Work well in a group/team setting
• Ability to handle working on multiple projects at the same time
• 8+ years of related experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Virginia or ability to obtain Virginia license within 6 months
• Experience in development of project scopes, programming, and fee proposals
