The company

You will be joining a market leading general contractor who are renowned for being specialists in the ever expanding data centre sector. As a result of further project success they are seeking high level candidates to take the company forward in the coming years.

The position

As the Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to quality standards, while maintaining relationships with all stakeholders on assigned projects. This individual will often oversee multiple medium-sized projects, a single large-sized project, or an assigned scope on a single, large, complex project.

Could this role be for you?

• Identify and recommend value engineering and scope reduction opportunities
• Prepare and manage project schedule; identify and address long lead items; update project plan as required; initiate changes to ensure adherence
• Detect constructability issues with project design
• Ensure project safety plan is completed and communicated to project team and subcontractors
• Negotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts and purchase orders
• Recommend staff development needs, disciplinary actions, job assignments and promotions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist with preconstruction efforts
• Manage buy-out process
• Complete monthly project status reports, owner billings and financial risk assessments
• Understand contract terms, budgets, insurances, bonds and change orders; ensure adherence including work progress being within scope

Role Requirements

• Right to work in the US- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
• Data Centre construction experience (desirable)
• Proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams
• Min. 7 years commercial construction experience managing large projects
• Experience using scheduling software such as JDE, Procore Bluebeam etc.
• Bachelors degree in construction or related field
