Responsibilities:
- Create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Deliver enterprise-level reporting and data governance solutions.
- Establish best practices and guidelines for data visualization and report development.
- Optimize report performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Design and support robust and scalable reporting data models and schemas.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Mentor and train junior Power BI developers as needed.
- Develop sophisticated data transformations using Power Query and DAX functions.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading and mentoring junior team members.
- Proven work experience as a Power BI developer & Architect In-depth understanding of the Power BI environment (e.g., permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.
- At least 10 years of experience designing and implementing business intelligence solutions.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL for generating and extracting data for use in analytics and reporting.
- Financial domain knowledge is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum.
- Hands-on experience implementing visualization dashboards, Business Intelligence Reports, and Email Reports.
- Exposure to Snowflake and other cloud-based database platforms is a big plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing & Data Modeling best practices.
- Strong experience with Power Query and DAX functions.
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS, SSIS, TSQL, and Report Manager.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an agile team, meet deadlines, and demonstrate good time management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced project environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
The base salary range for this position is between $132,696.90 to $176,929.20, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand. This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbe’s employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel will be required.
