Power Apps Developer Jobs

(REMOTE, Full-Time, Short-Term)

NexGen is currently seeking a Power Apps Developer to work across the Microsoft Power Apps Platform as a service suite to build custom business apps that meet the needs of our Federal Government clients. You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team that includes project managers, business analysts, and subject matter experts. You and the team design, develop, implement, and maintain all solutions and communicate your progress with stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Drive innovation and collaboration with the newest advancements and features within the Power Platform.
• Partner with IT Leaders on business case development with careful consideration of migrating from current or legacy solutions and approaches.
• Work with end user groups to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
• Propose system design of Power Platform products to meet new project requirements.
• Provide critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, availability at the system and component level.
• Work with all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical, facilitating interactive design and functional specification sessions.
• Define criteria and conduct proof of concepts, proof of value, and prototyping to evaluate product and feature value and consideration for the organization.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Provide post-production support including the implementation of fixes and enhancements.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience is required
• 3 years of relevant experience with the Power Platform is required

Technical Skills/Experience:

• An eye for clean, easy to use, UI/UX implementations.
• Experience in Automating Business Processes with Power Automate.
• Experience with Dataverse, and developing Power Apps applications that leverage Dataverse as the data source.
• Ability to create custom connectors for PowerApps and Power Automate.
• In-depth knowledge of the entire Power Platform stack (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Pages).
• Stakeholder and customer management skills.
• Business-to-technology translation skills are essential for identifying ways to apply solutions to help clients increase business value and performance.
• Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
• Experience developing Canvas and Model Driven applications.
• Experience in migrating Various Data sources and workflows to PowerApps and Power Automate.

• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of data privacy and information security best practices.

• Microsoft Power Platform certifications

• Federal Government security clearance is required. Individual must be able to obtain and maintain one for this role.
• US Citizenship, or legal permanent residence, or US work authorization with minimum 3 years of continuous US presence is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Ability to pass background screening prior to employment.
