Are you passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights? Do you have a knack for visualizing complex data sets and presenting them in an easily digestible format? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team at American Veterinary Group.

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including data analysts, business users, and IT teams, to gather requirements and understand the data insights needed to support strategic business initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with other data visualization tools or programming languages (e.g., Tableau, Python) is a plus.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing Power BI solutions to improve performance and data accuracy.
  • Create data models that effectively consolidate, cleanse, and transform raw data from multiple sources into meaningful visualizations.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance our data visualization capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs, data sources, and data integration points.
  • Conduct training sessions for business users to empower them to navigate and interpret Power BI reports effectively.
  • Develop and implement interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous data visualization projects.
  • Experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and database concepts.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query for data modeling and report creation.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
