Senior Planning Manager

They have recently purchased Suave brand in North America from Unilever and have retained us (OperationsInc) to find a Senior Planning Manager to join the new team at Suave.

The Senior Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the company's supply chain strategy, with a focus on ensuring the availability of goods to meet customer demand while managing inventory costs. Key responsibilities include leading the supply planning team, developing supply chain strategies, collaborating with other departments, monitoring performance, managing supplier relationships, identifying and implementing process improvements, and staying current with industry trends.
Primary Responsibilities Include the Following:
· Lead and manage the supply planning team, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring the team is meeting performance objectives.
· Develop and implement supply chain strategies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers for timely delivery of goods.
· Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure the company is meeting customer demand while minimizing costs.
· Monitor key performance metrics such as inventory turns, stock-outs, and service levels to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
· Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and agreements, and ensure supplier performance meets expectations.
· Identify and implement process improvements to optimize inventory levels and improve forecasting accuracy.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in supply chain management, and use this knowledge to continuously improve the company's supply chain processes and strategies.
Primary Requirements Include the Following:
- Experience with supply chain planning software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Experience in the consumer goods industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team to meet performance objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external suppliers.
- At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
