The Senior Manager for Program Management has responsibility for leading a team of program managers to support multiple strategic projects for Amazon Logistics. These include programs that reduce cost, increase attainment, improve delivery speed, and make delivery environmentally sustainable. The ideal candidate must have a proven history of program management of large, impactful program leadership, responsibility for large projects, cost control/Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility, and driving innovation across a high-performing engineering organization.


Responsibilities Include


  • Responsible for North America Strategic Planning and Engineering Team that will drive strategic projects
  • Manage large projects for North America Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget)
  • Manage a high-performing team of Program Managers, drive stakeholder alignment on medium/long term strategic projects for AMZL
  • Manage large, complex initiatives across North America
  • Drive Innovations across the Engineering Org
  • Approximately 25% regional travel depending on business needs
  • Manage and improve program management process within the org to deliver impactful projects in a systematic manner.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible
  • Responsible for P&L


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s in an Engineering field
  • Experience leading, implementing and improving facilit layout and design; working knowledge of design tools, such as AutoCAD
  • 10+ years of experience managing a large team of high caliber Process Engineers
  • 10+ years of experience leading a team to drive standardization in day-to-day field-based pick-up, delivery operations design and automation solutions


Preferred Qualifications


  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • MBA
  • Experience driving process improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
