  • Process semi-monthly pay groups and ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly pay groups by payroll staff (approx. 1,000 employees total). Calculate and reconcile agency remittances for employee deductions. Assure maintenance of individual payroll records, direct deposit records, and time records.
  • Develop and maintain payroll calendars, checklists, processes, and other procedural documentation. Comply with and enforce record retention policies.
  • Properly interpret and align with with federal, multi-state, and local payroll tax regulations including workers’ compensation and unemployment rules.
  • Maintain vendor relationships with UKG/Ceridian to ensure all tax, compliance, and payroll functions are facilitated accurately and on time. Keep current with new payroll and tax law changes. Support and incorporate approved departmental and corporate polices.
  • Process and run multiple payroll activities with semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines. Provide problem resolution and employee customer service.
  • Committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment, you will work to ensure that all employees feel valued and supported.
  • Facilitate annual payroll audits for workers compensation, 401K, and company benefits.
