Senior Network Engineer Jobs

We have a 1-year onsite Senior Network Engineer contract opportunity in Orlando, Florida. This contract has a high probability of being extended.
Our client is seeking an Information Technology Senior Network Engineer to help improve the availability, reliability, and scalability of its IT Infrastructure Services. These services include technology hosting, monitoring, remedial response, security, and network management.
The projects for this assignment are centered on doing some design work with attractions and hotels. We are essentially seeking a Senior Network Engineer with experience in General Routing/Firewall. The assignment is 50% engineering, 20% project management, and 20% administrative. Certifications are not required if the Senior Network Engineer can demonstrate proficiency. Proficiency is determined based on years of experience and the types of projects the Senior Network Engineer has engaged in.
Minimum Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and understanding of all types of LAN environments (equipment hardware, software and cabling environment to support Ethernet, single-mode and multi-mode fiber optics, Cisco Nexus, ASR, F5, Juniper, Palo Alto
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide array of technical and managerial personnel to solve complex problems.
• Advanced communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Strong customer service skills and orientation.
• Expert knowledge/experience in Wide area and Local Area network design, configuration, installation, evaluation, problem resolution, and project management.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols including RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, RMTP, BGP etc. and telecommunication connectivity including MPLS, Private Line, Metro Ethernet, Site-to-Site VPN and internet.
• Possess knowledge of film entertainment, video distribution and broadcast business requirements.
• 5 or more years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Progressive data communications experience in WAN/MAN/LAN/Wi-Fi network design, configuration, evaluation, problem resolution and project management experience.

Desirable Qualifications

• CCNP and/or Palo Alto (preferred) certifications.
• Experience with CISCO Nexus 6800 and Cisco 3800 switches.
• More than 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Familiarity with routing protocols, especially EIGPRP and BGP.
